Welcome to Swing Dancing in Santa Fe!
What is Swing Dancing?
A variety of social dances are called "swing" dances: Jitterbug, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Blues and others. People dance all these dance styles at Odd Fellows hall.
We dance to different types of music, depending on what the DJ plays: Jazz from the '30s and '40s, rock 'n roll, alternative rock, blues, rockabilly, etc.
You MUST be fully vaccinated (including booster) to attend. Be sure to bring your CDC Vaccination Card & your ID. We recommend (but do not require that) you wear a good quality mask.
When: We dance virtually every Monday Night (unless it's Christmas Eve or there's a snowstorm or a pandemic).
The lesson starts at 7:00 pm.
The DJed dance starts at 8:00 pm and runs until approximately 9:30 pm.
Where: @ Odd Fellows Hall 1125 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe, NM.
This is the best dance floor in Santa Fe. The hall is smoke & alcohol-free.
How much: $10 for the lesson which INCLUDES the dance (stay and practice after the lesson).
$5 if you just come for the dance.
Who: All ages are welcome. All levels of dancers are welcome. All gender identities are welcome. All races and ethnicities are welcome. You can come solo or with a partner - it's a friendly group and people ask each other to dance.
Why: What better activity could you find to do on a Monday night than have some fun, get some exercise, meet some nice people?
Live Music: Every month or two a live Band plays for us and we dance to them. Always enjoyable (although we also have a great time dancing to the recorded music our DJs select). We charge $15 for the evening when we have live music since we need to pay the musicians.
Monday Night Swing is sponsored by the Santa Fe Odd Fellows Lodge. For info about this organization go to our website IOOFSFNM.org

Have a question about swing dancing? Send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can (please realize this is an all volunteer group).
